Planning Your Cruise Series.......

What Type of Accommodations to choose

Did you know that because these floating resorts offer amenities that appeal to a wide variety of interests and age groups that they are the most popular vacation choice for families, couples and singles. Cruises have become the the most popular way to vacation, yet even still there are many folks who aren't sure if a cruise is right for them.

Before you rule out a cruise for your next vacation, here are some points to consider as to why "You haven't lived until You've cruised".

Many people start off thinking a cruise is too expensive but don't realize that actually a cruise can be the better option when choosing a vacation destination. When you factor in the accommodations, travel to and from a destination, entertainment and food, you will soon begin to see that cruising is equal to or even costs less than other types of vacations. There are different types of rooms and packages to fit any budget. An inside stateroom will offer you the greatest value, but an ocean view balcony room will offer you the amazing views of the vast blue sea and starry nights for gazing and allow for more space.

Following are the different types of accommodations you can choose from available on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.

For those who have an appetite for the finer things in life and consider luxurious amenities a must, the Category 1,2,3 Suites are the premium accommodations one can choose for their next Disney Cruise. These 1 and 2 Bedroom Suites with square footage ranging from 650 sq. ft.-1,000 sq. ft. you will find the privacy and space you desire. Attention to great detail, you will find decor that is derived from liners of the past. Prices for these suites range from $1,349-$5,199 p/p.

For families of 5 or those traveling in groups of 5, the Deluxe Family Suites are a great option. This Category 4 Stateroom comes complete with a private Verandah (Balcony) enlarging your space so your family/group can relax. With a Queen sized bed, sleeper sofa and murphy bed that pulls down out of the wall, you can sail away in comfort at a reasonable price. Pricing on this family stateroom starts at $989 p/p

For those who prefer moderate accommodations and spaciousness, are traveling with a family of adults and teens, adults only, the Category 5,6 and 7 will offer you 268 sq. ft. of space with Queen sized bed, convertible sofa and a split bath for privacy. These amazingly priced staterooms will provide you the extra outdoor living space outside on the Verandah along with spectacular views. You will also find yourself soaring among the eagles when choosing these high deck accommodations. Pricing starts from $739 p/p

For those traveling with younger children, or couples or singles, you may want to choose the Category 8,9 Deluxe Ocean view room. You will find room enough for your family in this stateroom along with the brightness and airiness the 4 foot circular window provides. Furnished with a Queen bed, convertible sofa, privacy divider in the bath this 214 sq. ft,. stateroom will keep your budget in check and allow you to spend your time on deck enjoying all the great activities. Pricing starts from $589 p/p.

For those traveling as couples, families on a value budget and those who won't be spending much time in their rooms, the Category 10 and 11 Staterooms are a good choice. With 184 sq. ft. although smaller than the other cabins onboard the Disney Cruise ships, they are still 35% larger than other cruise line staterooms. Complete with a Queen sized bed, convertible sofa and privacy divider in bath, these are standard features you will find on the Disney Cruise Ships. Pricing starts at $399 p/p for this standard inside cabin.

Everyone has a vacation budget no matter which price point one is considering, to stay within your desired budget the best thing to do is sit down and list your priorities. Decide on what things are most important. If you are going to be taking advantage of the many shore excursions and sight seeing and will be off the ship for most of your cruise, then choose the more economical accommodations. If you are the type to want to sit back, relax and enjoy all the onboard amenities, then choose a stateroom that will provide you with the maximum comfort that suits your budget. If you prefer light, bright accommodations, choose a window or verandah room. If being closer to all the activities is a preference, choose a room located on the higher decks. If you have a slight sense of motion sickness, then choose an inside cabin.

As you can see, there are accommodations for all tastes, budgets and needs. We have covered the types of cruises/itineraries available upon the Disney Cruise Line, The Best time to take your Disney Cruise, and Which type of accommodations to choose. Now you are ready to pick your dates and get your magical cruise reserved.
