You will feel like you stepped into a rustic retreat when staying at Fort Wilderness, the only campground at the Walt Disney World Resort. For lovers of nature and simplicity this cozy Disney Vacation Club property will have you lovin the natural surroundings and cozy atmosphere of the spacious beautiful log cabins. If you prefer a more rustic setting bring your own RV or camping equipment and stay in one of the secluded campsites at the Fort Wilderness Campground. With winding trails that round this property you can travel by foot or horse and enjoy the great outdoors.
Your cozy cabin is fully furnished with all the necessities you will need, including sleeping for 6. Your private bedroom offers you a double bed and set of bunk beds along with a double murphy bed in the living room. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area offers you the ability to feast on your favorites while enjoying the comforts of home. Your cabin has air conditioning, a full bathroom with hair dryer, two tv's ,VCR, iron, ironing board, crib, safe and phone with voicemail. Housekeeping is available daily upon request. For your outdoor enjoyment you will have a picnic table, grill on your outdoor deck.
The Fort Wilderness has two heated pools and one kiddie pool; arcade and playground. You can spend time on the lake with a Pontoon Boat, Canopy Boat or WaterMouse, or take a specialty cruise. Catch and release fishing fun is available for the entire family. Shopping is available at Meadows Trading Post and Settlement Trading Post.
You will utilize bus transportation to anywhere you need to go in the World, Disney World that is, including the Theme Parks or other Walt Disney World Hotels. Disney Fort Wilderness offers an internal resort bus as well to take you to the marina, Trading Post or pools. You can ride the ferryboat to the Magic Kingdom Park. Golf carts are often used to get around within the Fort Wilderness Campground Resort area. Reservations are highly recommended.
