Cast Your Cares on a Caribbean Cruise

There are many different islands you can visit in the Caribbean, each with its own distinct flair. No matter which island you choose, you're bound to have a fabulous time. The U.S. Virgin Islands consist of a few large and many small islands, the large and most well known are St. Thomas,St. John, St. Maarten. These great ports of calls can be found on the
Disney Cruise Line itineraries.

St. Thomas is a very mountainous island and is a frequent cruise stop for most cruise lines. St. Thomas is home to a beautiful town called Charlotte Amalie which also happens to be the capital of the Virgin Islands. The town was named in 1962 after the Queen of Denmark and has a population of approximately 62,000. Tourism on St. Thomas attracts over 3 million tourists per year. You will find charming shops, get to play on white-sand beaches, explore ancient mysteries, or soak in tropical beauty on a biking tour. Play a round of golf at one of the most beautiful courses in the West Indies. Scuba dive through spectacular living reefs.

St. John is the smallest of the islands and is most well known for it's untouched forests and beaches which are part of the National Park. They offer a phenomenal Jeep or Safari bus tour that is sure to be a memorable experience. Some of the land activities also include horseback riding, donkey trail rides, rock climbing, exploring historic ruins, and some of the clearest scuba diving imaginable. You can windsurf, parasail or master the waves on a kayak.

St. Maarten is an island that is half Dutch, half French and all about the perfect holiday. Here, exotic excursions abound and duty-free shopping is an island-wide event. With the clear turquoise water and white sands of the island's famed pristine beaches you will bask in delight. Tour the island and witness the history of this wonderful place. St. Maarten has eight casinos for those who wish to try their luck. Sail a regatta, or travel to a butterfly farm. Hike and bike through mountainouse paths. Scale Paradise Peak, the highest point on the island rising 1,500 feet above sea level.

Castaway Cay

Disney's perfect private paradise, it's Never Land for kids and teens; for
adults, it's Shangri-La. Step off the ship and you know, instantly, you've arrived at a magical place. Be as active as you want or simply find your place under the sun. The choices on this breathtaking Bahamian oasis are yours alone. Here you can enjoy Serenity Bay, lounge on the secluded beach for adults, enjoy the beautiful turquoise waters. For the teens, snorkel your way to explore the wonders of the Caribbean, hang out on the white sands beach, or kayak your way to fun. For children ages 3-12, the world of exploration is here, dig up whale bones, play in Goofy's sandlot, take part in the many beach activities.
